Sean Ferguson was born on March 17, 1991 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Attending The Hun School in Princeton, N.J., Sean Ferguson helped lead his team to a number one ranking of prep schools in the area by the Newark Star-Ledger. He earned first-team all-prep school honors as an offensive lineman from the Newark Star-Ledger. Before transferring to The Hun School, he played offensive and defensive line for Malvern Prep in Pennsylvania from 2006-08. He helped Malvern to a 27-3 record over 3 seasons there.

Sean Ferguson selected Minnesota over Kent State and Duke. In 2010, it will be his freshman season with the Minnesota Gophers. Sean Ferguson redshirted during the 2010 season.
