At 6’5” and 300 pounds Otis Hudson is a force to be reckoned with on the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers football defense. He redshirted with the Gophers in 2005, but played in 5 games in 2006, making his first Gophers football career appearance in the season opener at Kent State. Hudson saw action in a season-high 31 snaps against Temple and moved to defensive tackle prior to the Ohio State game on October 28th. He participated in a total of 97 plays on the season and earned his first letter from the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers football team.
During his 2007 Gophers football season, Hudson played in 4 games as a reserve defensive lineman. He ended the season by switching briefly to the offensive side.
University of Minnesota Golden Gophers football Coach Tim Brewster is excited to have Otis Hudson on the Gopher Defense. Hudsons’ size is a definite asset and his ability to block and tackle opponents will help him to earn a spot in the defensive rotation. Gopher fans should keep an eye on Otis Hudson. He may be a sleeper as far as stats are concerned, but on the field he is definitely awake and ready to take down the opposing team.
The offensive lineman, Otis Hudson, recently transferred to Eastern Illinois University’s football program.
