Marek Lenkiewicz was born on January 30, 1992 in Tinley Park, Illinois.

At Victor J. Andrew High School, Marek Lenkiewicz led his team to a 6-4 record and a playoff berth in 2009. He earned 2009 Illinois Coaches Association first-team all-state honors and was named second-team all-state by the Chicago Tribune. He was also a 2009 all-area selection and named Offensive Player of the Year in the Southwest Suburban League Red Conference. Marek Lenkiewicz was a two-time all-conference selection and helped the team to a conference championship as a sophomore in 2007.

Selected Minnesota over 10 schools around the Midwest. It will be Marek Lenkiewicz's freshman season in 2010 for the Minnesota Gophers. Marek redshirted during the 2010 season.
