MarQueis Gray was born November 7, 1990 and graduated from Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Indiana.
MarQueis Gray was a 3-year starter at Ben Davis High School. Unfortunately, he missed the majority of his senior year after breaking a bone in his arm.
In spite of this setback, Gray's career record is still impressive. He completed 73 of 140 passes for 12 touchdowns as a junior. That same year, Gray also rushed for 603 yards and 7 touchdowns.
MaQueis Gray was ranked as a 4-star prospect by Rivals. In 2009 as a freshman, he saw action as both a quarterback and wide receiver. He had a breakout game against Ohio State going 5-of-6 passing for 51 yards and tossing his first TD pass. He also had career highs of 11 carries and 81 yards against Ohio State. MarQueis Gray scored his first collegiate touchdown on a reception against Cal. With 265 yards rushing, he ended the regular season as the team’s fourth-leading rusher. As a sophomore, he played in all 12 games. He started seven games at wide receiver and caught 42 passes for 562 yards. He also caught five touchdown passes.
