Kevin Whaley was born November 3, 1988 and graduated from Salem High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Over Kevin Whaley's high school career, he rushed for 6,301 yards and scored 85 touchdowns. Whaley helped lead the Samel High Sun Devils to a 12-1 record and spot in the AAA Eastern Region Division 6 title game.

Kevin Whaley has earned many awards and honors. He was named to the all-state team by the AP. Whaley was selected as the Virginia Eastern Region Offensive Player of the Year.

Kevin Whaley's first season with the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers football team will be a time to test his college level play and find a spot to best suit his abilities.
