Jeff Horton is Head Coach of the Minnesota Gophers. He was the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach for the Minnesota Gophers while Tim Brewster was the head coach. When Tim Brewster was fired on October 17,2010, Jeff Horton was promoted to interim Head Coach.

Jeff Horton arrives at Minnesota after coaching for four seasons in the National Football League. In 2009 he was the Detroit Lions Quarterbacks, in 2008 he was the St. Louis Rams Assistant Offensive Line, and in 2006-2007 he was the St. Louis Rams Special Assistant/Offense.

From 1999 to 2005 Jeff Horton was the Wisconsin Quarterbacks Coach and was the UNLV Head Coach from 1994 to 1998.
