D.J. Burris is a returning member of the Minnesota Golden Gophers football roster, who plays on the offensive line. D.J Burris joined the Golden Gophers football program in 2006 after graduating from Kenton High School in Kenton, Ohio. While their, D.J. Burris claimed several awards, including being named to the “Tremendous 26” by the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association.

In his freshman years with the Minnesota Golden Gophers, he started 11 games for the Golden Gophers. That season the Gopher Offensive Line averaged 407.5 yards of total offense per game on the total season. During the 2008 season, as a sophomore D.J. Burris saw action in all 12 games, starting 9 of them. The offense during his sophomore season generated 2,848 passing yards the 5th most in school history. In 2009, he took over the center position and started the last 7 games of the season there. Experienced guard and center for the Minnesota Gophers.
