Cedric McKinley is a fast and strong athlete who will play for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers football team after previous time with Mississippi Gulf Coast, one of the top junior college prep programs for DI football.

McKinley was born on March 26, 1987 and graduated from Northview High School in Bratt, Florida. As a high school football player, McKinley recorded 75 tackles and was selected to play in the Northwest All-Star Game. Additionally, Cedric McKinley was a letter winner in basketball.

After graduating from Northview High School, McKinley had a solid career at Mississippi Gulf Coast. He helped the Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs to a perfect 12-0 season record. He also scored 38 tackles, including 5 sacks during his sophomore year.
