Team Member Information
Bryant Allen, an incoming freshman wide-receiver, plans to walk on to the field and the court for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. This Missouri native excels in both football and basketball and will be playing both sports as a Minnesota Gopher.
Graduating from Maplewood-Richmond Heights High School in Maplewood, Missouri, Bryant Allen will leave a legacy behind him as he travels north to begin his college career. In high school, Bryant Allen holds the record for most touchdowns by a wide receiver with 62 and is the first in the school’s history to break the 1,000 yard mark. Bryant Allen stands 6’0” tall and weighs 160 lbs, making him nimble enough for his point-guard position on the Golden Gopher basketball team. Bryant Allen intends on majoring in video journalism and chose the University of Minnesota over other competitive schools like the Wisconsin Badgers and Indiana Hoosiers.
In 2009, Bryant Allen returned six punts for an average of 12.2 yards per return and returned three kickoffs with a 15.0-yard average. He caught five passes for a total of 45 yards and rushed one time for three yards.
