Andre Tate’ was born on April 4, 1989 in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. He attended Henry Sibley High School before joining the University of Minnesota Gopher football team in 2007.

Andre Tate’ was ranked the 30th-best running back in the nation and third-best player in Minnesota by Rivals while at Henry Sibley. The young talented Tate’ was also ranked the 36th best running back in the nation by ESPN.com. He accumulated 1,500 yards rushing his senior season and 1,300 yards his junior campaign at Henry Sibley. Tate’ also starred on Henry Sibley’s track team.

Although Andre Tate’ was redshirted for the 2007 Gopher football season, he earned the outstanding defensive scout team player award. Coach Tim Brewster is looking forward to Andre Tate' prowess in 2008. Andre Tate’ plans to major in business administration at the University of Minnesota.
