The North Dakota State Bison football team is coached by Craig Bohl, who has worked with the NDSU Bison for five years.  One of the biggest hurdles Coach Craig Bohl faced was taking the NDSU Bison from DII to DI fooball and over the years, this hard work has paid off.   The North Dakota State Bison football team ended their 2007 season with a final record of 10-1.

Due to the North Dakota State Bison football team's success on the field, fans have become increasingly supportive.  The Fargodome, site of the NDSU Bison's home games, can host 18,700 fans and the 2007 season had three sell-out games with the Fargodome filled to capacity. 

The North Dakota State Bison football team wears yellow and green jerseys and is led by a bison mascot fondly named "Thundar".  The NDSU Bison have a strong history of success in each division played.  The all-time team record is 586-343-33 and the team has secured 3 College Division National Championships, 5 DII National Championships, and 23 North Central Conference Championships.  The most recent success was the 2006 Great West Football Conference championship.

With a rich history of college football, the North Dakota State Bison have launched many players into the NFL.  Linebacker Joe Mays was a round 6 pick for the Philadelphia Eagles and punter Mike Dragosovich is an NFL prospect after earning all-American honors at North Dakota State University.
