New Hampshire Wildcats

 

The University of New Hampshire was established in 1866 and has an enrollment of about 15,000 students. The University of New Hampshire school colors are Blue and White and the school boasts The Wildcats as the school nickname, the mascot is named Wild E. Cat. The Wildcat became the school mascot and nickname starting in February 1926, beating out other options such as a husky, eagle or unicorn!

 

The University of New Hampshire Wildcats football team plays at Cowell Stadium, which was built in 1936. The Cowell Stadium seating chart holds 8,000 Wildcats fans and had a FieldTurf surface. The University of New Hampshire football team plays in the America East Conference of the NCAA.
