The Montana State Bobcats football team closed out the 2007 season with an impressive average score of 24.2 points scored per game, almost always edging out opponents.  The Montana State Bobcats football tradition dates back to 1897 and since that time, the team has won eleven conference titles in the Big Sky Conference.  Today, games are played in the Bobcat Stadium in Bozeman, Montana which holds up to 15,197 cheering fans.

The Montana State Bobcats are coached by Rob Ash, a 27 year veteran head coach at two other colleges before arriving to Montana State in 2007.  Rob Ash is known for building up strong football programs while encouraging athletes to focus on academics.  Ash himself was a strong scholar-athlete and earned Little All-American honors as Cornell Iowa's quarterback in 1972. 

The Montana State Bobcat football team wears blue and gold jerseys and has intense rivalries with the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.  However, several members of the Montana State Bobcats have left behind their blue and gold and college rivalries to join the NFL.  Travis Lulay is the most recent NFL draft pick.  Lulay now plays for the New Orleans Saints as quarterback, after a record-setting career with the Montana State Bobcat football team.
