Michigan Wolverines Football

The University of Michigan football team plays its home games at Michigan Stadium, or "The Big House." It houses a staggering 107,501 fans, making it the largest American football stadium and the fifth largest stadium in the world. The Michigan Wolverines are led by quarterback Chad Henne and running back Mike Hart.

The Michigan Wolverines had a vexing 2007 season. The Wolverines started 0-2 with losses to Appalachian State and Oregon, the former loss being one of the biggest upsets of the year. But the Michigan Wolverines got on track when they won eight straight games and finished 18th in the Associated Press polls.

The Michigan Wolverines schedule was weak at the start of the year with matchups versus Penn State and Northwestern to start the Big Ten schedule. But the schedule only got tougher as the Wolverines dropped the final two games of the season to finish 8-4. The Michigan Wolverines went to the Capital One Bowl to face Florida and won 41-35.

The Michigan Wolverines have hired a new coach in Rich Rodriguez, and he hiring a new staff of assistant coaches. Look for "The Big House" to be full all through the 2008 season as the Wolverines try to climb back on top Ohio State and Illinois in the Big Ten. Buy Michigan Wolverines tickets and experience the largest football stadium in America for yourself.
