Who is getting pumped for the Minnesota Golden Gophers vs. UNLV Rebels opening game on August 29th at 6 PM?! It is coming up soon. Last year, the Gophers’ 2012 debut marked the fourth straight season and the sixth time in the last eight years that Minnesota had opened its college football season on the road. The Gophers beat the Rebels last season! And we want to watch the Gophers do it again this year! However, this year the UNLV Rebels are meeting the Minnesota Golden Gophers at the TCF Bank Stadium on Thursday, August 29th. The game is going to be a great way to end the summer and start off the fall. Get your tickets today because this is going to be a hot game!

Your Minnesota Golden Gophers took the football field at TCF Bank Stadium Saturday on the first gorgeous day of the year for their annual Spring Game. This Spring Game was meant for the football players to show their abilities to coaches and fans one last time before their season opener which is on August 29th against UNLV.

Here's a quick recap: We saw quarterback Philip Nelson showed skills on the field with 179 passing yards and 45 rushing yards. Head Coach Jerry Kill seemed excited about all the young and upcoming athlets. The Maroon team won the Spring Game but their were huge efforts by both the White and Maroon teams. We can't wait for the Gophers to head into preparation for the regular season.
