The University of Minnesota Gopher football Spring game was a huge success at TCF Bank Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Gopher defense outweighed the Gopher offense, but there was plenty to be exited about on both sides of the ball.
Gopher quarterback Adam Weber passed for 144 yards completing 8 of 20 passes. MarQueis Gray was 4 of 7 for 66 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Running back Duane Bennett racked up 55 yards on 9 attempts and Duane Eskridge finished the day with 51 yards on 12 carries.
Linebacker Mike Rallis led the defense with 6 total tackles, including 3 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. Linebackers Spencer Reeves, Sam Maresh and Pat Sveum each racked up five tackles and Linebacker Keanon Cooper recorded the only interception of the game, returning it 19 yards.
If you didn't make it out to TCF Bank Stadium for the Gopher Spring Game, you better buy tickets for a Gopher Football game in 2010 and see what this Gopher team can do at "The Bank."
